2016 PBA Scholarships Awarded

The Washington County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA has awarded the 2016 scholarships. Each year the Washington County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA funds scholarships for students interested in the criminal justice field. This year, the PBA funded two scholarships each in the amount of $500.

Jacobe Wendell of Fort Edward was awarded the  2016 Lt. Donald Nassivera Jr. Memorial Scholarship.  Lt. Nassivera served with the Sheriff’s Office from 1971 until his untimely death on October 27, 2006. He gave 35 years of service to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Washington County.

Deputy Brad Hamilton presents Kameron Mosher of Greenwich with the 2016 Senior Investigator Bruce H. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship.

Kameron Mosher of Greenwich was awarded the 2016 Senior Investigator Bruce H. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship. Senior Investigator Hamilton started his career with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office May 7th, 1987. He was promoted to Sergeant August 8th, 1995, Investigator September 8th, 1998 and Senior Investigator August 6th, 2013. During his career with the Sheriff’s Office Senior Investigator Hamilton served in many capacities to include Accident Reconstruction Supervisor, Juvenile Investigator, and DCJS and Homeland security liaison. Bruce was instrumental in the modernization of the department, and in the implementation of multiple law enforcement programs to enhance the services provided to the community. Senior Investigator Hamilton passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, June 2, 2014.
